Dublin’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration is this weekend (see special section in the March 10 edition for more information) and this year’s festivities bring a unique gift for every Dublin resident: a plot of land in Ardmore, Ireland and the official titles of ‘Lord’ or ‘Lady.’

On Tuesday, Celtic Titles announced it is gifting each resident of Dublin, TX with their very own plot of land from its nature reserve in Slievekirk Wood, Ireland. Ownership of the land comes with the title of Lord or Lady of Ardmore, meaning Dublin just became a town of nobles.

With this everlasting gift of royalty, each resident of Dublin, TX will receive:

■ The courtesy title of Lord or Lady of Ardmore

■ One square foot plot of land in Slievekirk Wood, Ardmore

■ Gift pack containing a presentation folder, personalized certificate, information booklet and plot ID card

“We are pleased to gift a piece of Ireland to each resident of Dublin, Texas this St. Patrick’s Day,” said Lord Stephen Rossiter, sales and marketing director of Celtic Titles. “Our little corner of Ireland is just a small part of our company’s global conservation effort. Much more than just bestowing a fun courtesy title of Lord and Lady, Celtic Titles is an eco-friendly gift that gives back to mother earth and aids in our woodland preservation efforts. In addition to loving the name of this great town, it’s a natural tie and great fun for us.”

“We were delighted by Celtic Titles’ generous gift to our community this St. Patrick’s Day,” said Amy Keith McDonald, executive director, Dublin Chamber of Commerce. “Dublin, TX is the Irish capital of Texas, so celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in our city is a must. Each year, the Dublin Chamber of Commerce hosts the St. Patrick’s Festival. With the widest variety of green inspired costumes, activities and food around, our weekend long festival surely promises a one-of-a-kind experience. On behalf of our residents, we thank Celtic Titles for this fun, festive gift and look forward to a long relationship with the preservation company in the future.”

Celtic Titles is a sister company to Highland Titles, one of the world’s leading innovators in land preservation offering the purchase of souvenir plots of land on its estate in Glencoe Wood, Scotland. The ongoing success of the Scottish project led to the beginning of the Celtic Titles journey to help conserve Ireland and provide vital habitat for several declining species. In a similar fashion, Highland Titles bestowed courtesy Lord and Lady titles to residents of Scotland, CT in 2017.
